I'm on crutches, AGAIN. For a foot injury, AGAIN. 90% possibility this is a stress fracture, but in order to make it heal, I cannot put any weight on it right now. My next dr. appt is in 3 weeks. WHY????? I had just gotten into the groove of running and I've been doing so well! I have a race in March that I WILL NOT miss. I refuse to miss this race.
I need my foot to heal FAST. As in NOW.

Not this again.
I'm sick of sports injuries. My right foot is swollen and extremely tender by my big toe...but of course I don't know what I did to it. This is so frustrating! As soon as I get into a running grove my feet decide that they suck and they give out on me. Seriously, so frustrating. I didn't DO anything out of the ordinary...I didn't trip, I didn't stub my toe, I didn't roll my ankle, I didn't fall. Why????
I've got an appointment with a podiatrist this afternoon, and I want answers.
ARGHHHHH!

My Date with the Lake of Green
Met up with Lolo to continue our Thursday Greenlake run. She did so well! Her time was shorter by about 5-6 minutes, and I'm proud of her. :)
I went around again after the first lap. I tell you, my butt freezes...I'm serious! And then I can't freakin warm up after I'm done with the crazy six miles. Ha ha! I turn into a teeth-chattering, frozen butt, achy run monster. But it's worth it...

Sisterly Love
Last night I went to a gym with my little sister, Liza. She got a gym membership a few weeks back because she wants to get back into shape. Very good, Lizzie!
We did about 35 minutes on the elliptical, and I went 3.4 miles according to the distance meter. (I tell ya I FELT like I ran that, I was sweating like I was in Mexico). Then we stretched and I demonstrated some crunches for Liza. We rowed on the rowing machine and played different "games" on the machine's computer. It was pretty fun & tiring! Then off to lift some weights using various machines. I helped Liza some more and taught her how to use some of the machines that she could benefit from.
Overall, it was a fun time hanging out with my baby sis. I would love to do that more often...
It finally stopped raining buckets!

Hurray!
A new year, a new start. Isn't "get into shape" or "get healthy" or "workout more" always on the top of most resolutions for the new year? Well, I figured I already had a head start by starting to run last September. :)
I ran a new little "Mini Loop" around my neighborhood on Monday night. It's exactly 3.11 miles when I do the loop three times. It was quite windy and raining on Monday, though...so my glasses kept getting fogged and cloudy and I felt like I was running in my own little "dream" world. It made everything look softer...
