The weather has been really sticky lately, and my usual runs are very uncomfortable. I'm trying to keep my mileage per day at around 4, maybe more, depending on how warm it is. My pace seems to be getting a lot better since the injury, so I'm happy about that. :)
Not sure which race is next, I need to sign up for one soon. Ideas?

Beat the Bridge = COMPLETE

I finally beat the bridge this year! I was in the third (and last) wave, and there is only twenty minutes to get passed the bridge. I had to jockey for a decent position when the race started and throughout the entire length of it. I think next year I'll try the middle wave, because I may be able to go faster. There were some technical difficulties with the timing chips used, and my official time is 2 minutes slower than the time I recorded on my iPhone...so I'm torn by what is correct. :(
My time stated 40:11, which I'm pretty sure is accurate (my timer hasn't failed me yet).

**UPDATE: The "official time" did not have an accurate net time because all were "gun times" only....so my 40:11 is correct.**

Trailguru is Up & Running
Trailguru has been down for almost two weeks, and so I couldn't record my tracks at all. I'm missing about 3 or 4 different runs, but oh well, the rest are up again.

Can Do 5K = COMPLETE
I believe that the frigid temp/weather at this race fueled a nasty cold that has dented my running for the past two weeks. The course was rather flat and it followed a pretty pathway next to marshes and wetlands. Luckily it didn't rain during the race, and the sun came out a little towards the end. Awesome sponsors for the event too...I'm definitely coming back next year. But I'm bringing someone along...ahem...Trav.

St. Paddy's Day Dash = COMPLETE
Yesterday's race was crazy. It was snowing and raining and wicked cold (about 34 degrees). But, despite the icky temps, Travis and I made it to the Dash! My ending time was 34 minutes, 17 seconds (3.7 miles). I was the 67th female in my age division (out of 516). And I was #1434 1474 out of 7233 7254 total runners! My per mile time was about 9:09. Not the greatest, but I'll get better.
One down for the year, what's next? Let me at 'em!

Orthotics
Got my new orthotic insoles today. Race is in 11 days.
Man, I'm going to suck. I just want to finish the race now, timing is out the window entirely. I'm ashamed.
