A Runner's Wishlist

Under Armour Knit Short
Contour Fit Capris by Nike
Nice, eh? And of course, Nordies is where it's at.

In need of these songs

Thanks, Liz!--for the suggestion of Women's Health playlist!
These are the songs I need:

  • Firestarter - The Prodigy (Heck yes!)
  • Girlfriend - Avril Lavigne (Yeah, this is a good beat)
  • Pump It & Boom Boom Pow- Black Eyed Peas (Funky fresh fun, yo)
  • B.O.B. - OutKast (Totally awesome & reminds me of HS)
  • The Rockafeller Skank - Fatboy Slim (Oooo, yeah!)
  • Here It Goes Again - Ok Go (I see)
  • Around the World - Daft Punk (A classic)

Just when I think I'm coming out ahead...

I fall behind.

Seriously, I was doing so well with running every single day, but then I got a cold, and it all goes *kapooey* just like that. Yup, sound effect and all. I tried running last night and was wheezing so badly after the first hill that I contemplated stopping and turning around. Don't get me wrong, I kept running, at a slightly slower pace, but I only logged one measly mile.

Since my last logged run was Friday July 3rd, I feel like a failure. However, I did paddleboat like a maniac on Friday PM, and all Saturday. I tracked how far I went too: 3.25 miles! Paddleboating! Crazy! But it was so much fun, and I was sweating from pedaling so hard.

I guess I have to remember that any physical activity is good, regardless of logging mileage.

Suggestions?

I need a new running playlist. Mine is completely worn out and I'm not as motivated as I used to be. Hard rock, techno, alternative beats get me going really fast, so anything that I can jam out to is sufficient.

Suggestions?

The Twilight Run

Ok, so now my favorite time to go running is at around 8/8:30ish. It's so gorgeous out! The weather is just warm enough and not too hot where I feel like I'm drowning in my own sweat. Ah yes, twilight!

Muggy

The weather has been really sticky lately, and my usual runs are very uncomfortable. I'm trying to keep my mileage per day at around 4, maybe more, depending on how warm it is. My pace seems to be getting a lot better since the injury, so I'm happy about that. :)

Not sure which race is next, I need to sign up for one soon. Ideas?

Beat the Bridge = COMPLETE

I finally beat the bridge this year! I was in the third (and last) wave, and there is only twenty minutes to get passed the bridge. I had to jockey for a decent position when the race started and throughout the entire length of it. I think next year I'll try the middle wave, because I may be able to go faster. There were some technical difficulties with the timing chips used, and my official time is 2 minutes slower than the time I recorded on my iPhone...so I'm torn by what is correct. :(
My time stated 40:11, which I'm pretty sure is accurate (my timer hasn't failed me yet).
**UPDATE: The "official time" did not have an accurate net time because all were "gun times" only....so my 40:11 is correct.**

Final Stats:
Mileage - 5.05
Time - 40:11
Overall - 1346 out of 4579
Division Place - 103 out of 609 (F25-29)
Sex Place - 439 out of 2457
Pace - 7:57

Last Years Stats (2008):

Overall - ???? out of 4036
Division Place - 256 out of 304
Sex Place - 1651 out of 2057
Pace - 11:38
